A chainsaw can be a serious investment, and no-one purchases a chainsaw without doing some serious research into the make, model and reviews of the prospective choices.

We’ve done just that. So lets get to it…

Why should I bother with a Dereal chainsaw?

There are so many options and opinions out there that it can be difficult to believe a budget chainsaw could be worth your time and money. Lets take a look at what Dereal chainsaws have to offer:

Safe and Reliable Structural Design

In order to prevent inadvertent starting, the DEREAL gas chainsaw has two throttle controls that must be pressed simultaneously. Using a high-quality brake baffle, you can stop quickly in an emergency while keeping your hands safe.

2-Stroke Cycle Engine

Strong efficiency, high power, consistent work, and long life are the hallmarks of DEREAL gas chainsaws. Compared to the original, the new engine uses around 10% less fuel on average per horsepower (or liter).

Professional Gas Saw Chain

The effectiveness of the saw chain has a direct impact on sawing efficiency, fuel consumption, and labor intensity. There are many advantages to using DEREAL Pro saw chain.

These include a long service life and a high level of quality. When used in conjunction with a comfortable handle, you can increase your productivity and avoid weariness even after prolonged use.

Lubrication using Automatic oil injection

During operation, the automatic oil supply system can spray oil for lubrication, reducing chain and component wear and extending the chain and guide plate’s service life.

Some oil will stay on the chains and will drip back into the bottom of the clutch. Regardless of the type of chainsaw you own, you will encounter this issue.

Power, efficiency and long-lifespan are all included in the package to ensure a comprehensive performance in the majority of situations. Additionally, fuel consumption has been decreased by 10% without sacrificing any accuracy.

To ensure a smooth ride, the chain is always well-oiled by an automated oil lubrication system. As a result of the reduced wear and tear on individual components, you will have fewer disruptions in your workday.

Consequently, this chainsaw requires less maintenance and is easy to use by both professionals and beginners. Simple and uncomplicated, this chainsaw does not feature a lot of bells and whistles.

The automated oiling system and anti-vibration handle have won it a spot on our list of top picks. Stable cuts, reduced time, and increased efficiency are all a result of the superb handle.

In the same way, the automatic oiling system will maintain the chain oiled and free of disruptions. As a result, wear and tear is decreased, resulting in better performance and longer longevity.

DEREAL Chainsaws Buyer’s Guide

Now that we’ve covered the basics of the 20-inch chainsaw, it’s time to move on to the buyers guide section. A lot of small things must be taken into consideration before you buy. If you’re still not sure, we’ve outlined some of the most crucial features in point form below.

Power

To be a chainsaw, it must be able to quickly and efficiently cut through hard, dense materials. If you want to cut through things quickly, the RPMs of your engine should be high.

However, you must be able to exert some degree of control over that power in order to get the optimum outcomes.

How Long Should Your Blades Be?

Guide bar is another term for the length of the blade. To chop the wood, the chain is connected to this area and spins. When shopping for a gas chainsaw, keep this in mind first and foremost.

The chainsaw’s bar and chain lengths tell you how thick of a piece of wood it can handle. Gas chainsaws are only available in lengths ranging from 12 to 72 inches, whereas guide bars are available in a variety of lengths.

A chainsaw with a blade length of 12 to 20 inches is excellent for homeowners and the occasional lumberjack. A bar of at least 20 inches is suggested for professional use.

Chainsaw blades should be at least 2 inches larger than any wood you intend to chop in order to evaluate which one is best for you.

It gives the user adequate space and protects him from kickback injuries caused by a saw blade suddenly thrust back in his direction.

Safety

The chainsaw’s safety features are one of the most important considerations for users. You can’t afford to take chances when operating large equipment. To keep people safe, designers must incorporate safety switches and emergency braking devices.

Type of Oiler

Lubrication is critical to the chain and blade’s ability to function. They guard against damage or overheating to the components. A chainsaw’s chair and bar oiling procedure varies from one model to the next.

Oiling procedures can be divided into three categories. There isn’t a single approach that is superior than the rest. It’s all up to your personal taste.

Price

A realistic price should be set for the chainsaw regardless of how many features it offers. If the price is excessively expensive, many potential purchasers will pass it over in favor of something else.

As a result, the key to reaching a larger audience is to strike a balance between features and price.

Why Dereal chainsaws are effective

Professional chainsaws from DEREAL may be counted on to be of good quality. Handheld gas chainsaws, for example, feature a dual throttle switch. To turn on the chain saw, you must press both buttons simultaneously.

This keeps the chainsaw from accidentally igniting and shields the user from any potential dangers. It has a two-stroke cycle engine that guarantees long-term performance. This gas chainsaw uses 10% less power than the competition.

This gas-powered chainsaw is ideal for felling trees, chopping timber, and other lumberman tasks. Filter life is extended and fuel consumption is reduced due to the use of a filtering system in these chainsaws.

The chainsaw can be used securely and comfortably due to its ergonomic, shock-absorbing, and non-slippery design.

Sharp edges, long service life, rapid cutting, ergonomic design, and great wear resistance are just a few of its qualities. To put it another way, this product has everything a professional needs.

To ensure optimal lubrication and functioning, it has an automatic oil supply system that sprays the oil automatically.

A full year’s worth of parts and labor are covered by the chainsaw’s warranty. In addition, the manufacturer offers technical assistance and replaces worn-out or broken parts.

chainsaw oil and fuel

How to Prepare Gas and Oil Mixture for a Chainsaw

If you wish to mix your own fuel, you must have a fuel container with a cap, two-stroke engine oil, and the desired high octane fuel. The manufacturer suggests a 40:1 or 50:1 mixture of fuel and oil for optimal performance.

In 2-cycle engines, such as those found in chainsaws, the higher the octane of the gasoline, the slower it burns and the cooler it runs.

High-quality gasoline with an octane number of at least 89 is recommended in order to avoid piston seizing due to overheating. If you won’t be using the fuel for more than a few months, adding fuel stabilizer will help it last longer.

Childproof, premixed gasoline containers containing stabilizer, oil and gasoline are an option if you are having problems with measures while making the gasoline mixture.

They can be found in hardware and equipment stores. There are measurements or marks on these containers. The oil reservoir on the chainsaw is not the same as the one in your car’s engine, so don’t confuse the two.

When it comes to chains, chain and guide bar oil is extremely important. Because of the oil’s lubrication, it doesn’t become stuck or overheat.

How to Properly Maintain a Chainsaw

Basic care and regular maintenance are essential to extending the shelf life of any machine or device. After each use, all you need to do is spend a few minutes cleaning it up. Use only gasoline that has the right oil-to-gas proportions.

Use chain and bar oil to keep your engine running smoothly and properly maintained.

After each use, make sure to clean out the oil ports, guide bar grooves, stick, and the area around the power sprocket of all sawdust and other filth.

To ensure proper operation, inspect the chain’s sharpness. Keep the motor running as long as possible by increasing the demand on it. Check for damage, wear, and faulty connections.

Dirty spark plugs and air filters can cause the engine to overheat and fail to start. Every two months, the fuel needs to be replaced. Make sure you clean the fuel filter on a regular basis to keep your engine running smoothly.

Using a solvent, wash the screen out of the tank and replace it before draining.

Verify that the chainsaw and all of its components are clean. The cooling fins, oiler, carburettor, and exhaust system should be cleaned and adjusted on a regular basis.

Durability and Warranty

Like any new purchase, any issues are likely to crop up early on in its operational life, so purchasing one that has a reasonable warranty period is wise indeed.

A 4-year warranty is available on some gas chainsaws in addition to the standard 2-year warranty. A gas chainsaw’s construction quality can also be examined. Gas chainsaws with longer warranties and good build quality can easily last for many years.

It’s also a good idea to look at the chainsaw’s chain material. As long as the chainsaw is powered by gas and has carbide chains, it should last a long time before it needs to be replaced.

Conclusion

The effectiveness of the saw chain has a direct impact on sawing efficiency, fuel consumption, and labor intensity. The high quality, sharp edge, fast cutting, great wear resistance, and extended service life of DEREAL saw chains, in combination with a comfortable grip, can increase your productivity while preventing fatigue from long-term use.

Despite the fact that gas chainsaws are significantly noisier than electric models, they are typically far more powerful. There’s a reason gas chainsaws are the standard choice of professional lumberjacks.

If you need a gas chainsaw that delivers on functionality and efficiency, you’d do far worse than a Dereal chainsaw!

I’m sorry to hear that Randy. My experience of Dereal has been really good so far. Granted they are a budget brand but no way should it fail after first use! Depending on where you purchased the chainsaw, they should have a returns policy.

I {loved) my Dereal chainsaw! Note the past tense. The saw performed great. Always started in 3-4 pulls cold, 1 if warmed up. It even towed a 24″ bar. But the air cleaner didn’t do it’s job. I noticed that even stuffing it with air cleaner foam I couldn’t stop the wood dust from aspirating through the carb. I’d like to find the engine parts to rebuild it. I’ve found no warranty or customer service info.
Help me out, I want to get my saw running again,
    Thanks,
    Sonny

Hi Sonny. Dereal chainsaws have no customer service as such. They are a distributor to wholesalers and sellers such as Amazon. Dereal generally provide a 1 year warranty on their products which should be honored by the seller. Dereal spare parts can be purchased on Amazon, such as bars, air filters… not sure about carbs though. If you’re looking for a full engine re-build, you can pretty much use any parts that fit into the engine compartment so you’re not limited to Dereal parts per se.
